HBCSB is registered company under SSM (Syarikat Suruhajaya Malaysia) with the registration number of 1358160-P and having the vision to carry the activities of the third-party audit for Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), MS 2530 series, in the most Impartial Manner. HBCSB has used the given MSPO standards, IAF, scheme owner (Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council) and accreditation body documents (Department of Standards Malaysia) which are issued from time to time.
Policy on Impartiality
HBC is independent and Impartial certification assessment body and recognize that source of revenue is from certification and training only.
HBC identified the following threats which can influence the Impartiality :
Self-interest threats, Self-review threat, Familiarity (or trust) threats, & Intimidation threats..
- All auditors/CDP/PR must announce any potential or real irreconcilable circumstance when requested to accept a task.
- The auditor shall report any potential instance of impartiality threat to the Certification Manager/or office earlier tolerating the task and to proclaim that they have no enthusiasm for the customer (e.g. investor, proprietor or advisor, or has not filled in as an expert for the customer inside the most recent three years).
- If the auditor has an intrigue, at that point the assertion must be noted and announced.
- HBC with participation of the interested parties (ICB) will identify, analyse and document the relationships with related interested parties to determine the potential for conflict of interest, whether they arise from within HBC organisation or from the activities of the related ICB. Where conflicts are identified, appropriate action will be taken.
